All non-government, Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR)
health and welfare service agencies and community-based
organisations are encouraged to apply for one-off grants
for up to $15,000 for specific projects. The Allocation
Committee comprises members of the United Way SA board,
local government and community service agency representatives,
and is responsible for the review of all applications
and the allocation of grants. The allocation process
is strenuous and is stringent to ensure equitable distribution
in accordance with community needs.
Grant Application
Before you fill out your application form (at the time
of the grant offer, which is usually announced in June
of each year), please read the following information.

United Way SA offers community grants annually on a
needs basis to non-profit community organisations and
groups who have a positive influence upon the community.
The aim of the grants is to assist, encourage and /or
develop local community projects, to support the work
of community groups and to foster their positive participation
and contribution to local communities.
