Grant Writing
The United Way’s focus on grant writing has delivered more than $12.8 Million in funding toward United Way initiatives and community programs. Find out more at UWLaurel.org/GrantWriting.
Diaper Bank & SNAP at the Market
More than 34,000 diapers were provided to families in Cambria and Somerset Counties last year. About 1 in 3 families fall short by about 25 diapers a month. An average of 30 people a week are served at SNAP at the Market, which creates a way for SNAP users to redeem benefits for fresh, local produce from farmers at the Johnstown Farmers Market. In the first pilot period, about $9,700 in SNAP benefits and matching Fresh Bucks were spent at the market.
Women United
An affinity group focused on early childhood development & parental engagement. All women interested in making an impact in their community are welcome to join! Find out more at UWLaurel.org/JoinWU.
